Meet Dr. DeLisi, Board Certified Oral Surgeon
Dr. DeLisi is a board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who has served the communities of Central Oregon, Eastern Oregon, and the Oregon Coast with excellence since 2008. As the most senior, experienced, and longest-tenured Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon east of the Cascades, he also uniquely holds fellowship training in Anesthesia in addition to his advanced surgical expertise. As such, Dr. DeLisi provides the most advanced technology for dental implant placement, bone grafting, wisdom tooth extraction, and tooth removal—all performed under the comfort and safety of anesthesia.
Bringing unparalleled experience from his military service, Dr. DeLisi’s surgical background is deeply rooted in combat medicine. As a deployed military surgeon in the Middle East during Operation Iraqi Freedom, he provided critical surgical care to service members in high-intensity combat zones. His training at multiple Level 1 trauma centers in New York City further honed his expertise in treating severe facial trauma, allowing him to develop advanced skills in complex reconstructive procedures. Since 2008, Dr. DeLisi has been a dedicated attending Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at St. Charles Medical Centers, where he has also served in multiple leadership roles.
Throughout his career, Dr. DeLisi has treated thousands of patients, from Bend residents to military personnel worldwide, offering expert care for the most challenging oral and maxillofacial conditions. Dr. DeLisi is Board certified Diplomate with additional fellowship training in anesthesia. Board Certification is the highest level of excellence an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon can achieve in the field after completing the mandatory requirements of a surgical residency in an accredited surgical program.
The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the most difficult, extensive, and comprehensive Board in the field of dentistry. Achieving certification requires a vigorous schedule of academic and clinical testing in all areas of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery before a national certifying board made up of the finest surgeons in the world.
Diplomates who have achieved board certification are required to perform certification maintenance yearly, ensuring that the surgeon is keeping up with the latest advances in dentistry, medicine, anesthesia and surgery. Dr. DeLisi achieved Board Certification in 2008 and is proud to maintain this credential as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Not all Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons are board certified due to the rigors and requirements associated with Diplomate status. Dr. DeLisi believes all patients deserve the best from their provider, and he is committed to surgical excellence and the standard of care set by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
